Worth the wait

Info- This post is about an incident that happend with me during my class assembly (play).
Fun fact- this post is related to my first post of all time, Teachers' day 2023! If you haven't read it, read it quickly, if you already have, drop a book emoji πŸ“– πŸ“• πŸ“˜ πŸ“— πŸ““ πŸ“š in the comments.
Let's begin

We had assemblies once every year in primary, we didn't have any in grade 1 because of covid, in grade 2 we had one on the theme of Christmas and the main character was my good friend aka the teacher's pet, I was a carol singer. I really wanted to be in the skit, not the main character but atleast have the spot light to myself for a moment. In grade 3, well you will know that by reading the post teachers' day 2023, all I need to tell you that I wasn't in that skit either, I was singing again! In grade 4, our theme was international dolphins day and thankfully there was no singing, instead it was a boring conclusion and I was in it! Now, we can finally end with the recap and get to the main thing.
So it was another day in school. Our teacher informed us about our assembly. The main character was.. let's call her mc.
I lost hope thinking that I wasa singer again. I prayed, this was the last year of primary which would mean the last year of assembly! I really wanted to be in the skit but I lost hope. Then our teacher said the roles. " role number 1 is.." let's nickname all the characters. So, " role number is pp, roll number 2 will sing, role number 3 is pi…" I was roll no. 25. The moment she reached roll no. 18, all the slots of singing were filled! I was glad from the inside. Maybe there was still hope! Sha continued. "Roll number 23 is gh, roll number 24 is ji, roll no. 25 is…" She took a pause while I was wondering why she did and who I would be. Remember, mc is the nickname for the main character. She continued, "25 is..... mc!!" The whole class stared at me, I couldn't belive it for a moment! I was the main character! My teacher continued. I was completely frozen wondering how this miracle happened.
Later when she called out to everyone for there dialogues, I noticed that everyone had only 1-3 lines! When it was My turn, instead of stapling my dialogues in my book, she gave me 4 pages, "here are your dialogues." She said "when you have byhearted your lines, I will give you the wntire script as you have over quadriple amount of dialogues than everyone else, you should know everything really well!" She even said that " When you were in grade 4, I came to take the practice of 4-D of Independence Day and I saw how she got 3 more dialogues as 3 people were absent and she got all the dialogues for some reason. She was the only one and she spoke nicely even though she got 2 dialogues at the last moment! From then, I came to know that she was up for the job so I kept her as the mc". Everyone started asking me if I didn't want that role, they could take it. I held tight onto the amazing opportunity that I had gotten.

BTW, here's the link for the post that l had mentioned.
Gotta go now. I need to practice my dialogues.

Moral- everything is worth the wait.
