The Ahmedabad Trip!!
Day 1:
We woke up at 5 a.m., finished our daily routine, and left for the station. There was a lot of rush there, but the moment we reached our platform, no train was there! My parents told me that the train was due at 6 a.m., and it was already 6:20! Then my dad revealed that the train was actually due at 6:40. But then, 2 trains to Virar (a place in Maharashtra) and 1 Vande Bharat (type of train) arrived. Finally, it was almost 7 a.m., and we boarded the train.
In the train, my cousin, brother-in-law, and niece were already seated. It was a seater train, Shatabdi. Inside, we ate brunch, and then mostly everyone rested while I listened to songs on my earphones while doing mandala. I even played on my phone sometimes, and I didn’t get a chance to do any of that when my niece was awake, as she would play with me all the time.
We had to switch seats again as my sister needed to feed my niece, and my niece would call me many times. We finally reached at 12:35 p.m. and took a taxi to the hotel. In the taxi, my niece wanted to sit on my lap, but my sister was trying to convince her to sit in her lap instead. She tried and tried, even pulled her a little, but my niece just wouldn’t leave my lap. When my sister told my niece that if she stayed on my lap, I wouldn’t go anywhere with them, my niece became super sad but still stayed on my lap.
When we reached the hotel, I took a video of that amazing view. Then I took my niece to look around, and then we went to our rooms. We rested for a while. After waking up, I was feeling a bit yucky, so I took a shower, changed my clothes, and then we went to a café where we drank tea and coffee and ate some snacks.
From there, we went to some glow garden kind of thing. There, we passed the Atal Bridge, where there wasn’t any shelter, and it was drizzling. Then we went to the flower garden, also in the glow garden, and it started raining a bit more there. The moment we were going to the main part of the glow garden, the glow garden itself, it started raining heavily! We even needed to go to another place called “Moonwalk.” We waited for ages and ages! It felt like a super long hour! It was at least 30 minutes.
Then the rain started flowing harshly in the shelter because of the wind, so harsh that I couldn’t handle it, and my dad had to cover me! Later, it would drizzle, and then it would rain heavily. We called a taxi, and the moment it drizzled, we ran (carefully) and finally sat in the taxi. While going to the hotel, the rain almost stopped.
After reaching the hotel, we changed into our PJs and then went to dinner. I took some breaks in between and took my niece around. After dinner, we went back to our rooms and slept.
Day 2:
We woke up and went down for breakfast. After breakfast, we went to our rooms for a while to change into new clothes and then went to Science City. There, we went to different places like the space/science hall, aquatic gallery (aquarium), robotics gallery, etc.
There were activities like the IMAX 3D theater, where we watched, more like did, a 5D screening, watched sharks, stingrays, and more giant fishes in the aquatic gallery, played a “Make Your Own Alien” game, and much more. We even took a lunch break at a restaurant there.
When we finished that, we went for some snacks at a restaurant my sister wanted to go to, and from there, we came back to the hotel by 6 p.m. Then we went for dinner, and after that, when we got to the lift with our stomachs filled with yummy all kinds of food, we wondered to go to the 14th floor to check out the swimming pool, but it was closed, so we checked out the gym, which was on the same floor!
When we went inside, I really wanted to try stuff out! I just sat on a cycle, and my dad turned it on for me! It was super fun! After that, I tried the treadmill; I wasn’t satisfied until the speed was at 5.5 km/h and incline at 4.0. Then someone came into the gym and told us that kids weren’t allowed and the gym was closed. We then checked out the residents’ lounge. After that, we came back to our rooms.
We planned to go to the swimming pool the next day as we hadn’t, although I loved going. I was a bit concerned if mom had packed our swimsuits, so I asked her, and she replied with a face which was a super clear NO! Then we slept.
Day 3:
We woke up, went to breakfast, and discussed there about going to Kankaria Lake, a lake where a toy train takes us on a tour around the lake. There were even theme park activities like zorbing, ferris wheel, hot air balloon, etc.
At 1 p.m., we went to a hotel which served Gujarati thalis. After eating, we went to Kankaria Lake. There, there were trillions of super fun and exciting activities which I loved; I was excited for it. But first, we went to the zoo, the only thing I didn’t like so much. I thought it would be fun, but I got tired along with my mom. So after 10 minutes of that, I thought we’d finally do something fun, but we exited right from there; we didn’t click any photos, or go to any fun places, or even go to the main thing, the river! That was it, our final place to visit in Ahmedabad. Then we went back to our hotel.
Day 4:
The next day, we woke up at 7 a.m., hurried down for breakfast, and sat in a cab to go to the airport. From there, after a while, we boarded our flight. After reaching the airport in Mumbai, we said our goodbyes. From there, my parents and I went to eat at a restaurant near our house and then went home.
